ABOUT THE PROJECT

For my Sophomore Project at Vermont Technical College I have decided to help out my cousin in an organization that she is the co-founder of known as Tree of Hope; Haiti (See below). After asking her about this, she informed me that I could help out a family by providing light to their home. At the time of this project, Haiti does not have its own power grid. It is for this reason that I have decided to create a self-sustaining solar light. This is how my project began.

TREE OF HOPE HAITI

Tree of Hope; Haiti is an organization that seeks to "spread the love of God to Haitians through seeds of good deeds." Some of their recent projects include the building of water towers and wells, building homes and child sponsorship.
